About the Studio
The goal of Performance Dance Centre is to provide all student’s with top quality dance and acrobatic instruction. The safety and well-being of the students is the number one priority. We will strive to fully meet the wants and needs of all students by creating an atmosphere that will show passion for dance, love and concern for children, and knowledge and experience in the dance field. Through the attendance of dance classes, student’s will not only enhance the appreciation of dance and fitness, but also gain self-confidence, self-esteem, and build friendships.
Performance Dance Centre provides students with three dance rooms and one acro room. Each room is equipped with Stagestep Timestep flooring with floating wood sub-floors, full length mirrors, and wall to wall ballet barres. Class sizes are limited to allow for individual attention.
Performance Dance Centre was opened in July, 2003 by Shelby Droste and Mary Kay Anderson. Shelby began dance at the age of four. Her love of dance continued to grow over the years as she participated in a wide variety of dance recitals, competitions, workshops, and conventions. Shelby has taught all ages and many areas of dance. Her choreography has won many top awards at various competitions. The goals Shelby has for her student’s are to be educated in the dance field, to have pride in their own accomplishments, to be inspired by others and the environment around them, to learn respect for themselves and others, and to have FUN! Shelby is joined by Becky Anderson, Bobbi Krug, Sammi Bak, Madi Wendl, and Spencer Droste. All provide their expertise in different areas of dance.
Shelby will continue to expand her knowledge and education of dance by participating in various workshops and conventions. These workshops will allow her to provide her students with the most current and up to date techniques and choreography available.
